  3. Shared Folders • Located in My Catalog • Purpose: share shortcuts / report parameters • Can be created by anyone • Access Granted by Share Groups • (that your create/manage)

  6. Creating Shared Folders • Create a Shared-Folder User Group • Create the shared folder • Share your shortcuts • Add/Manage Users in Your Share Group

  7. 2. Click on: Shared Folder Groups 1. Select the Manage Tab

  8. Click to Create Shared Folder

  9. Event Based Scheduling Events are triggered by DATA REFRESH Reports Scheduled to “run after” Events Useful for Scheduled Reports that are: needed ASAP (when scheduled), and data refresh frequently runs late A Timeout can be specified

Must Coordinate With Publishers Contact Publisher – if you need Events Because: ONLY Publishers define events …based on their understanding of: the underlying data the methods used to refresh them, and the Report Objects in question Defined Events can be used by anyone …but publisher should be consulted!   11. Scheduling With Events • Create a Shortcut with desired Report Parameters • Schedule the Report as usual…except: • Choose “Run After” (in lieu of “Run At”) (On the schedule page) • Choose Events

  12. Publishing Events • Event Folder: Master Catalog / Manage mode • Create Event action • Owned by Publishing Group • …Lets create one!
