What is ERIC ? • The Educational Resource Information Center is an online digital library of education research and information. • It is sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education. • It has more than 1,200,000 records. • It links to more than 100,000 full-text documents.
MISSION The ERIC mission is to provide a comprehensive, easy-to-use, searchable, Internet-based bibliographic and full-text database of education research and information.
KINDS OF DOCUMENTS • Journal articles (600+ journals indexed) • Books • Research Summaries • Conference Papers • Technical Reports • Policy Papers • Other Education-Related Materials
Record vs. Full-text Document • A record is a citation, or information about the document. For example, the title, the author, the name of the journal, the page numbers; 1,200,000 records in ERIC • Full-text means the document itself; 100,000 full-text documents in ERIC.

Little words : AND- fewer results OR- more results NOT- specific
LIMITERS FULL TEXT Try. If not enough results, untick. Your library may have the journal in print. PEER REVIEWED Ask your teacher JOURNAL TITLE
