3. Epidemiology Work Group Identified appropriate statisticians and data analysts from various state, federal and tribal entities and recruited them to the work group.

7. Evolution of the Epi Work Group Recognized members who could contribute and those who could not, making an effort to bring to the table counterparts who wanted to contribute.
Recognized that at the conclusion of a major product, we would lose some participants. We began looking for replacements that could fill the void.
At the conclusion of one product, immediately began on a new product and activities that would challenge the work group.
Created a new subcommittee that is beginning to look at emerging issues in the data.
8. Challenges Keeping the members engaged.
Giving assignments while recognizing that everyone is volunteering time outside of their normal workload.
Identifying and meeting members’ needs as participants in the process.
