Mission UF is committed to providing instruction of the highest quality, opportunities for research and innovation, and co-curricular programs that build students’ capacity for understanding themselves and the world, while fostering their commitment to the service of others locally, nationally and internationally.
UG Affairs Office • UF-wide leadership for, and oversight of, UG and Professional academic programs, advising, and academic support services • Promote excellence in teaching and advising, and lead efforts to provide a challenging and engaging learning environment • Coordinates with other UF offices to develop UF policies and procedures to ensure compliance with State regulations – reports on compliance to state agencies • Academic Affairs liaison to Faculty Senate on all UG academic issues, including the University Curriculum and General Education Committees
UG Affairs Office • Develops and coordinates review processes for curriculum development • Reviews and approves proposals for all changes to UG curriculum • Performs audits for universal tracking system and graduation requirements • Administrative oversight of CPET, CUR, HHMI Science for Life, Honors, McNair, OAS, ROTC • Administers a number of scholarships

Goals UF graduates will be equipped with the skills, abilities, training, and qualities to succeed in increasingly competitive, creative, technological, and global occupations; they will be prepared for graduate training and research; and to assume “the scientific, technological, academic, political, and creative leadership” on the national and international stage. UF will develop innovative ways to combine educational and research programs that will be a model for large public research universities.
