Your Learning Goal: Students will be able to identify an object’s position given a set of reference points and directions. Students will collect data on moving objects and quantify their results. Table of Contents: Measuring Motion p. 4 Do Now: You’ve got a huge list of things to get done…first, you have to go to the Dr’s office to get a check up, then you’ve got to go get an oil change at the mechanic’s. Afterwards, you have to return some library books and then finally you need to stop off and pick up some things from the grocery store. Before you leave, map out the quickest route to each stop and calculate the total distance you will have travelled.
