Recent Ballot Results: • WECC-0105 VAR-002-WECC-2 (AVR) • Quorum 83.1% - Approval 100% • WECC-0105 VAR-501-WECC-2 (PSS) • Quorum 83.5% - Approval 100% • WECC-0106 INT-018-WECC-CRT-1 (E-Tag Codes) • Quorum 82.4% - Approval 97.2% WECC Standards Activities Western Electricity Coordinating Council

All three unanimously approved at the September Board meeting The Two WECC Regional VAR Standards were posted for 45-day NERC public comment - 8/7/14 – 9/22/14 No negative comments received Next step is to work with NERC to file the revisions with FERC for approval WECC Standards Activities Western Electricity Coordinating Council

  4. WECC-0101 – Generator Validation Policy Conversion • Proposal to lower the applicable facility thresholds in the Western Interconnection for generator testing and validation identified in the recently approved NERC MOD standards. • Proposal to modify the periodicity of validation. • Would become a Regional Variance to the NERC Standards • Closer to current WECC Policy WECC Standards Activities Western Electricity Coordinating Council

  5. WECC-0107 – PSS Design and Performance • RPIC assignment to review document appropriate categorization • Control Work Group identified several PSS documents to consider for inclusion in standards • Drafting Team proposing changes to VAR-501-WECC-2 that would maintain the requirement to have PSS in service and add tuning and installation requirements WECC Standards Activities Western Electricity Coordinating Council

  6. Two new Regional Criteria projects • WECC-0108 – Modification of INT-021-WECC-CRT-1.3, WIT Check Out Confirmation • WECC-0110 – Modification of INT-011-WECC-CRT-2, Ten Minute Recallable e-Tag Functionality for Reserves WECC Standards Activities Western Electricity Coordinating Council

  7. Project 2014-03 Revisions to TOP/IRO Standards • Most recent ballot closed on September 19 • All six IRO standards passed • Two of Three TOP standards passed • TOP-001-3 only received 48.73% Weighted Segment Approval • Two new definitions were approved NERC Standards Activities Western Electricity Coordinating Council

  8. BAL-002-2 • Addresses the 2009 NWPP Request for Interpretation • Ballot window closed 10/2/2014 • PRC-006-2 UFLS • Minor revisions to address FERC Order • Balloted 9/29 – 10/8 NERC Standards Activities Western Electricity Coordinating Council
