Working Together To Address Demographic Challenges THE AGE ALLIANCE NETWORK • The Transnational Experience: • Focussed on the same target:(Integration of disadvantaged target groups) • JobMentoring as joint Tool • Study Visits with strategic partners were very beneficial (Key Players of the employment agency and business-manager were involved)

Working Together To Address Demographic Challenges THE AGE ALLIANCE NETWORK • All National Projects Have Contributed to the Network • NTI has in Particular: • Developed the Innovation-Team Concept; merging employed with unemployed worker and trained them • Applied and Developed the Role of Job Mentors; connection between companies and jobseeker • Introduced the Idea of Patchworking, “new” for Western Mecklenburg

Working Together To Address Demographic Challenges THE AGE ALLIANCE NETWORK • Mainstreaming from the Network • Dissemination of the idea of JobMentoring in the region • Take Account of Age Alliance Mentoring Experience • “National network age management” Germany • Implementation and application of the method in the RegioVision GmbH Schwerin 2007 • Integration of: ARGE (Employment Agency), Municipality of Schwerin Entrepreneurs’ Assoc., Ministry of Economy • Extension of the application field to the other ARGE in the region of Western Mecklenburg

Working Together To Address Demographic Challenges THE AGE ALLIANCE NETWORK • Challenges and Successes in the Policy Arena • Sensitization of the management of employment agencies; funding increase for “50+” projects • Sensitization of employers; knowledge of best practice in other counties • Improvement of further education measures; changing in vocational training • Improvement in the integration of people 50plus; employment rates increased in the last two years

Working Together To Address Demographic Challenges THE AGE ALLIANCE NETWORK • Challenges for the Future • Geographic enlargement of the field of activitiesto Europe; particularly the new member states in the east • Broadening of target groups – 12% of Migrants are unemployed in my hometown Schwerin • Improvement of methods - knowledge exchange; transfer of best practice among EQUAL-Partnerships (Germany and Europe)
