FP7-People-ITN Activities • Training through research • Provision of structured training courses • Complementary skills: communication, presentation, industrial strategy, entrepreneurship, IPR, ethics, grant management, grant writing, research policy, commercial exploitation of results • Exchange of knowledge/intersectoral visits and secondments • Network-wide training activities (workshops, summer schools, international conferences)
FP7-People-ITN Industrial participation Compulsory involvement of industry – 3 levels: • Full network partner • Recruitment of researchers, provider of training and/or hosting researchers for secondments, member of supervisory board • Intermediate network partner • Provider of research training and complementary skills courses, host researchers for secondments, member of supervisory board • Minimum network partner • Member of supervisory board of the network management, provide advice on key strategic skills in training program • Minimal involvement is level 3 • Levels 2 and 3 are considered "Associated Partners"

FP7-People-ITN Proposal structure & criteria • Part A – administrative details • Part B – project description • List of participants • Project overview and objectives • Assessment based on • S&T quality (threshold 3, weight 30%) • S&T objectives of research program, scientific quality of research, research methodology, originality and innovative aspect • Training (threshold 4, weight 30%) • Quality of training program, complementary skills, inter/multi-disciplinarity, inter-sectoral, size of training program vs. host capacity • Implementation (threshold 3, weight 20%) • Host capacities, resources, industrial involvement, management, networking and dissemination of best practice • Impact (weight 20%) • Career development, long-term collaboration, mutual recognition
