Macbeth is about a Scottish soldier who is told he will become King by three ‘weird sisters’ (witches). As the witches’ prophecy comes true, Macbeth becomes power-crazy and kills people to make sure it he is King!
For Your Information The Weird Sisters The play opens in the middle of deserted landscape with three weird sisters (witches) We’re going to read the first scene together:
Act I Scene A desolate place Enter three Witches First Witch When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lightning, or in rain? Second Witch When the hurly-burly's done, When the battle's lost, and won. Third Witch That will be ere the set of sun. First Witch Where the place? Second Witch Upon the heath. Third Witch There to meet with Macbeth. First Witch I come, Graymalkin! Second Witch Paddock calls. Third Witch Anon. ALL Fair is foul, and foul is fair: Hover through the fog and filthy air. Exeunt Note down in your book one or two lines from the scene which tell us something about the weather
