Isaiah 14:12-14 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

The Original Text The Greek word for “perfect” used in Matthew 5:48 is τέλειος, (pronounced “tell-ous”) which means “mature.” It’s an adjective derived from the word “consummated.”
The Original Text If Matthew wanted to say that we are to be flawless or sinless, he would have used the Greek word άψογος which literally means “flawless”.

Frustration How can we be satisfied with Jesus but so unhappy with everyone else? Because what Jesus wants from us has been misrepresented throughout our lives.
Frustration The unrealistic expectations cause us to be disappointed with ourselves and subsequently disappointed in everyone else.
Signs of Running on Empty • Less and less prayer time • A disorganized life • Impulsive decisions • Constant suspicions of everyone • Failing to consult the Word of God • Constant regrets • Impossible to satisfy • Low expectations of God
