  6. Sex under stress… • Shifting stress • Masculine nouns only have stem-to-ending shifting stress (город) • Feminine nouns only have ending-to-stem shifting stress (жена) • Neuter nouns go both ways (место, число) • Only masculine and feminine nouns can have anomalous stress (волк, вещь)
