IRB/ZEF/Laboratorij za elektromagnetske i slabe interakcije Eksperimenti: traganje za (astro)česticama izvan SM ( jaki CP problem, tamna tvar/energija, ujedinjenje fizike čestica i gravitacije) CAST 2013-2014 Vacuum–faza eksp. osjet. det. signala x25: - novi nisko šumni MM - nova optika X-zraka IAXO nova generacija aksionskih teleskopa: poboljšanje magneta, optike i detektora fotona; osjet. det. signala x5∙10⁴ LoI završen → SPSC CERN IRB eksperimenti “HPGekolaboracija” ( ZEF eksp. i teorijskih fizičara) : traganje za (pseudo-)skalarnim i vektorskim bozonima solarnog/galaktičkog porijekla skalar-proton skalar-elektron interakcija PLB699(2011)21 Milica Krčmar CROHEP 01.07.2013.

CERN Summer Students Programme • Each summer, several physics and engineering students from Croatia participate in the CERN Summer Student Programme • Usually one financed by CERN and the rest by MZOS • Nearly 40 students in the last 10 years • We have to select the best from many interested candidates: • > 20 candidates for 3 places in 2013 • Some past student projects • New detector testing (pixel, GEM, …) • LHC Physics analysis • Accelerator control electronics • Nuclear Physics experiments • .and much much more…

  8. Future projects at CERN • LHC running expected till ~ 2030 through several energy & luminosity upgrades • Many smaller size projects (e.g. anti-matter gravity) • Farther future options at the energy frontier: V. Brigljević Nuclear, Particle and Astroparticle Physics in Croatia
