  3. Wednesday, 8/18 • Showed the DVD: Ultimate Guide to the Human Body with students filling out the missing word(s) as they watch.

  4. Thursday, 8/19 1. Finish DVD Ultimate Guide 2. Show: Human Body Misconceptions ppt

  5. Friday, 8/20 • Time article: Animal Intelligence showed 4 YouTube videos: crow and tool, octopus and using shells, elephant and dog, and Frostie the cockatoo dancing. • Students read it and answered questions. • Was homework for those who didn’t finish.

  6. Monday, 8/23 Quiz over: Animal Intelligence and DVD Ultimate Guide Went over Shadowing Project Guidelines with due date on September 1st for scheduling shadowing.

  7. Tuesday, 8/24 1. Rat Dissection Lab 2. They wore Rat Dissection aprons 3. Took out viscera and placed on bright paper and identified them. I graded their effort.

  8. Wednesday, 8/25 1. Finished Rat Dissection Lab • Began working on: Chapter 1- sections 1 and 2 packet

  9. Thursday, 8/26 1. PPT Lecture covering Chapter 1, Section 1 2. Finish Chapter 1, Section 1 packet and handed in.

  10. Friday, 8/27 • Dr. Mark Hoffman, Cerner Presentation on Bioinfomatics

  11. Monday, September 30 • Quick Quiz over Cerner Presentation and articles running barefoot • Worked on Chapter 1, Section 1

  12. Tuesday, August 31 1. Ppt Lecture covering Chapter 1, Section 3 with students handing in their packets to be graded.

  13. Wednesday, September 1 • Worked on Chapter 1, Section 3 • Went over Shadowing effort components • Reviewed for the EXAM covering: Chapter 1: Sections 1,2, and 3.

  14. Thursday, September 2 • EXAM over Chapter 1: Sections 1,2, and 3

  15. Friday, September 3 Presentation by Dr. Clarissa Craig, JCCC on Health Careers and Health Career Trends

  16. Tuesday, September 7 1. Quick Quiz over JCCC presentation as well as over receipts and BPA 2. Section 4 of Chapter 1 completed 3. Gummy Bear Lab

  17. Wednesday, September 8 Human body torso posters completed using a grid pattern and drawing and labeling viscera. They are hung up in the back of the room. Shadowing begun today with 4 students shadowing this week.

  18. Thursday, September 9 Reviewed for Chapter 1, Section 4 Exam • Used practice quiz forms • Also used the practice quiz ppt. did this as a whole class review • Used remotes and the CPS review as well. Needs revision for next year’s format
