(ed), (d) or (ied) • (ed):after most verbse.g. clean cleaned – relax relaxed • (d):after verbs that end with (e) e.g. like liked – change changed • (ied):after verbs that end with “consonant + y”e.g. study studied – carry carried • with verbs that end with (vowel + y) we add (ed)e.g. stay stayed – annoy annoyed
