Philosophy on Education • I believe the greatest learning occurs when a teacher actively engages all students through use of effective, research-based techniques and stratagem. It is only through this direct exposure of students to eligible, standards-based content, that achievement levels will continually rise. My Background • I come from a lower-middle class family of five • I was originally at Duquesne as a psychology major • I have always been passionate about biology, though family members have always told me I should be a teacher • In high school, I would continually consider my teacher’s pedagogy, and think of ways that I could improve upon it Table Of Contents
