THE МINISTRY ОF ENVIRONMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA Preparatory activities: • Establishment of the Working Group within the MoE of Moldova (August 2010) • UNECE Mission to Moldova (16-17.09.2010) • Agreement between UNECE and the Government of Moldova (signed, in force since 10.11.2010) • Establishment of the National Secretariat (UNDP support, since 07.02.2011) • Support from the international partners

THE МINISTRY ОF ENVIRONMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA Establishment of the Working Group within the MoE of Moldova (August 2010): • The WG was established as a coordination mechanism within the MoE • WG involves representatives of the central body and subdivisions of the MoE • Internal Preparatory Work Plan developed and implementation started Secretary of the WG: Mr. Ruslan Sochirca tel: +373 22 20 45 33, cim@mediu.gov.md

THE МINISTRY ОF ENVIRONMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA UNECE Mission to Moldova (16-17.09.2010) • Discussed the preparatory arrangements and obligations of the host country • Met with major partners • Discuss preparatory details The Agreement between UNECE and the Government of Moldova was signed and it is in force since 10.11.2010.

THE МINISTRY ОF ENVIRONMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA Visa arrangements: The citizens of the following states do not need visas for the entry on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for a period of stay until 90 days: • the following member states of the European Union - Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Great Britain, Holland, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, România, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden; • Canada, Japan, Iceland, Norway, Swiss Confederation, USA; • CIS member states: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

THE МINISTRY ОF ENVIRONMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA Visa arrangements: • The holders of the diplomatic passports, who are citizens of Albania, China, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Iran, Israel, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Vietnam do not need visas for the entry on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the period of 90 days during 6 months. • The holders of the UN Laissez-Passer passports issued by the UN and its specialized agencies do not need visas for the entry on and exit from the territory of the Republic of Moldova. • The holders of the service passports, who are citizens of Albania, China, Croatia, Iran, Israel, Montenegro,  Serbia, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Vietnam do not need visas for the entry on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the period of 90 days during 6 months.
