Key Objectives • To promote and strengthen strategic institutional and regional capacity building initiatives • To establish regional and international networks that: • help build strong knowledge economies • advance information sharing and collaborative research • improve the communication and transfer of knowledge on key strategic issues • promote open access for knowledge and information systems (including infrastructure) • To be a key resource, partner and driver for important African development initiatives such as SADC, NEPAD and the AU.
