Prepare to Lead the Bible Study (1) • Believe the Bible is inspired by God through the Holy Spirit (2 Tim 3:16, 17; 2 Pet 1:21) • Understand the main theme of the Bible (Lk 24:27; Rev 19:10) • Understand the purpose of the Bible (Jn 5:39) • Understand the recipients of the Bible (Rom 15:4; 1 Tim 4:16) • Through prayer we understand the Bible (Jn 14:26, 16:13) • Through meditation we will enjoy the word of God (Ps 1:2, 3)

Prepare to Lead the Bible Study (2) • It takes time and effort to study the Bible (Ezra 7:10) • Be faithful to the Bible (2 Tim 2:15) • Be faithful to your role (Jer 15:19) • Be humble (Acts 17:11, 18:24-28) • Respect others’ opinion, reflection (Acts 15) • Make a positive conclusion (Acts 15:19-21)

  12. Correlation • When we correlate, we are bringing up sections from other parts of the chapter, book, or entire bible that help us to understand the section we are studying. • (Mt 8:14, 15; Mk 1:30-31; Lk 4:38-39)

  13. Application (1) • Is there a command for me to obey? • Is there a good example for me to follow? • Is there a sin here for me to avoid? • Is there something here I want to thank God for? • Is there a promise I can call my own?

  14. Application (2) • Is there a blessing I can enjoy? • Is there a failure from which I can learn? • Is there a victory for me to win? • Is there a truth in this passage that has greatly affected me?
