Electric outages severe in most south Florida Counties. Debris clearance is ongoing. Mass Care operations will be long term. Spot Fuel Outages. Many communities making the transition to recovery.

ESF 4&9 – Fire Fighting & Search & Rescue • Current Issues • 3 Engines and 3 Fire Inspectors deployed to Collier County. • 7 Water Tankers deployed to Broward County (possibly partially demobilized 10/29/2005 or 10/30/2005) • 1 Engine Strike Team deployed to Davie (Broward County) • 6 personnel from State Fire Marshal, Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations deployed to Lauderhill (Broward County). • 1 MARC Unit (Mutual Aid Radio Communication) deployed to Hendry County. • 5 Advanced Life Support units, 5 Engines deployed to Monroe County. (Will demobilize 10/30/05) • DOF 6000 Gallon Tanker (1) deployed to Monroe County (Everglades National Park). • DOF Green Team (Type II) at Volusia Fairgrounds • DOF (Type III IMT) at Plant City • DOF Liaison to Broward County • DOF Strike Team in Hendry County • DOF Two tankers deployed to Broward County (10/28/2005)

  30. ESF 6 – Mass Care • Current Issues • 9 Counties have 19 shelters housing 2,288 individuals. Several communities are assessing the need for longer term sheltering. • Meals - 207,907 served yesterday • Southern Baptists have 18 Kitchens operational. • ARC had 51 Fixed Feeding sites and 67 Mobile routes. • TSA has 32 units in the field,- 7 of them are roving. • Unmet Needs • Fuel for the Kitchens • Future Operations • Continue coordinating the acquisition of resources for distribution to effected communities by TSA and the ARC. ESF 8 – Health & Medical • Current Issues • Total deployments include 44 personnel as of 1130 today. • Post-incident stress debriefing teams • Relief for local CHD staff who have had storm damage at their homes • Refresh staff for LSAs in Lakeland and West Palm • Deployed Epidemiology staff into Key West for health assessment today • Needs assessment team deploying to AG Holley from North Carolina • Hospital surveillance will be complete with status report this weekend • Assessing environmental health issues • Problems identified with usage of automatic ice makers despite boil water alerts in impacted area • Problems identified with restaurants serving responders meats and cheeses that were improperly refrigerated • Educating restaurants, grocery stores, day cares and schools on environmental health matters • Estimated ESF8 emergency response costs thus far $4,379,342 • Damage assessments of DOH facilities estimated at $476,000

ESF 12 – Energy • Current Issues - Fuels • Bulk Fuel in Ports- • Bulk Fuel in Ports- • Florida normally uses 25 million gallons per day of bulk fuel. • 192 million gallons, mg, available now. • 194 million gallons available in 3 days. • 275 million gallons available in 9 days. • Result - average of 180-260 million gallons available per day for the next 9 days. Fla. tries to have at least 100 mg in ports. • Retail Outlets - Problem areas(166 outlets called) • Palm Beach County - 63% had plenty, 13% were low, 24% were out. 18 no answers. • Broward Counties - 75% had plenty. 25% had no fuel or had no power, 48 no answers. • Miami-Dade Counties - 68% had plenty, 9% were low, 23% were out. 11 had no power, 24 no answers.

ESF 12 – Energy • Current Issues – Electric (continued) • FPL HOSPITAL AND NURSING HOME STATUS • Hospitals - 192 affected in FPL area, 0 out at this time - 100% restoration. • Nursing Homes - 211 affected in FPL area, 54 out at this time - 74% restoration. • Unmet Needs • None at this time • Future Operations • Continue monitoring fuel and electricity issues and responding to tracker messages. ESF 13 – Military Support • Current Issues • 3,548 Soldiers & Airmen on SAD (WILMA) • WILMA cost $5,497,634 (as of 28 Oct 05) • TF 53: Yellow Zone (Broward, Dade, Palm Beach, Glades and Hendry Counties) with 6 battalions and 1,407 soldiers • TF164: Returning to homestation for recovery operations, 2 battalions and 744 Soldiers • TF 50: Blue Zone (Monroe County) 2 LSAs (LSA Palm Beach County Fairgrounds, LSA Homestead Air Reserve Base) with 2 battalions and 619 Soldiers • Provide SEOC support with ESF 5, ESF 13 & Logistics • SERT LNOs in 7 counties • Continue to support PODS in affected counties • AL, GA, and TX EMAC returned to homestation • Unmet needs • None at this time • Future Operations • Continue to work tasked missions • Continue to right-size for current operations • Plan and prepare for future requests Up Next – ESF 14
