  1. WEATHER POWER POINT By Cameron and Kaitlyn

  2. Falling Through the Atmosphere

  3. Falling Through the Atmosphere The book “Falling Through the Atmosphere” is about a man named Joseph Kittinger that fell through the Atmosphere! (page 5) Joseph Kittinger had to wear a special suit to go in the Atmosphere. (page 6) He used a Hot Air Balloon to get to the Atmosphere. (page 16) He went so far up that he was able to see the whole Earth! (page 18) Then he jumped back down to the Earth and it seemed like it hurt but he landed safely on the ground.

  4. Falling Through the Atmosphere I learned that the Atmosphere goes up above space! (pg. 14) I learned that a Spacecraft can go beyond Earths Atmosphere!(pg.15) I learned that air is a mixture of gases. (pg.4)

  5. Falling Through the Atmosphere Atmosphere – The air that surrounds the Earth.(pg.20) Temperature – How hot or cold something is.(pg.12) Nitrogen – An invisible gas in the air.(pg.4)

  6. Tornado

  7. Tornado The main idea is about a girl that predicts the weather in Mississippi.(pg.1) Burse sent up a weather balloon to see what weather was going to happen.(pg.12) Burse predicated that a tornado stated to form because there was dark clouds.(pg.14) They had only forty minutes to get everyone to safety before the tornado struck.(pg.18) A tornado struck Caledonia School in Mississippi.(pg.20)

  8. Tornado Affect – To change something.(pg.12) Investigate – To study or try to learn more about something.(pg.3) Thunderstorm – A storm with thunder and lightning.(pg.14)

  9. Tornado I learned that a tornado forms when it is a storm and there is wind and hot air.(pg.14) I learned that a meteorologist is a scientist who studies weather.(pg.3) I learned that a tornado can be made by a storm cloud that gets to close to the ground.(pg.14)

  10. COMPARE Tornado Burse is a Meteorologist and helps other scientists know what the weather is going to be. Burse has a Weather Balloon to tell her what the weather might be. Burse’s Balloon used hot air to float. Falling through the Atmosphere • Joseph Kittinger helped scientists see if a person can survive high in the Atmosphere. • Joseph Kittinger had a Hot Air Balloon to get to the Atmosphere. • Joseph’s Balloon used hot air to float.

  11. CONTRAST Tornado Burse used a Weather Balloon to see what the weather might be. Burse was a scientist and she the predicted weather in Mississippi. Burse used a weather balloon to see what the weather will be. Falling Through the Atmosphere • Joseph Kittinger used a Hot Air Balloon to get up to the Atmosphere. • Joseph Kittinger was helping scientists see if a person could survive up in the Atmosphere. • Joseph Kittinger’s balloon was a hot air balloon to get to the Atmosphere.
