Learning about ceramics has allowed us to : • Go back in history • Discover modern ceramic art • Learn about crafts • Explain what we have learnt by writing in a journalistic style • Develop our knowledge by observing fine ceramics from different countries.
Going back in time • The town of Saint-Emilion has an underground pottery museum. • We went back in time with a guided tour of the museum and learnt about the uses of ceramic objects in past times.

A Craftsman in the village of Sadirac • The village of Sadirac was once a village of potters. The local earth was used to make ceramic objects • Meeting and watching a potter was a moving experience. • We watched him making different objects.
In Sadirac we also made some ceramic objects : jugs and cups
