TEA Updates – LPAC Decision-Making meetings • Very few changes from 2012 to 2013 • LPACs will need to meet and make decisions for students taking December EOC administrations • This means ESCs will need to turn training around to districts earlier than in the past Fall EOC Administration: December 3–14

TEA Updates – LPAC Decision-Making meetings • For EOC, eligibility for STAAR L can be carried over from spring to the July and December administrations *This applies to the ENG/ESOL I/II Special Provisions as well. • Example: A student was in his 3rd year in U.S. schools in the 2011–2012 school year. He took STAAR L in May, but did not pass. The LPAC may carry over eligibility to both the July 2012 and December 2012 STAAR L EOC administrations. In spring 2013, however, he would be in his 4th year in U.S. schools and no longer eligible for STAAR L

TEA Updates – STAAR L Online Testing Tutorials Available starting January 2013 Should be used to familiarize students with clarification and read aloud accommodations and standard TestNav tools Test administration directions for spring 2013 STAAR L assessments will assume some familiarity with online interface

9. TEA Updates – LPAC Decision-Making trainings Trainings for the spring LPAC meetings will be held twice: January 15th Face-to-Face: SP1323312 Distance Learning: SP1323313 January 29th Face-to-Face: SP1323314 Distance Learning: SP1323315

10. Title III Updates AMAOs are not yet available. If you missed AYP, are considered AU, and/or staged in PBMAS you need to submit any required documentation by December 7th. Submission of documents may or may not be required depending on your stage(s) and TEA requests.

11. Title III Updates If you are a member of the Region XIII Title III LEP SSA, and you have not yet submitted your request for your flow through funds to Tina Fields, you need to do so before December 15th. tina.fields@esc13.txed.net Everyone – your Title III funds should be spent during the school year and should benefit the students during that school year.
