Italian Maritime Cluster • 165,000 direct employees plus 230,000 upstream • Added value per employee: 110.000 euro • World Leader in ferries fleet, super yacht building, cruise ships building • First place in Europe for import-export by Sea with 200mln tons per year

Ports and TEN-T Network • +30% the good’s traffic from now to 2030 (EU DG Move – 2010) • Sea transportation will increase by 70% from now to 2030 • Necessity to: • integrate both railways and maritime networks in a Paneuropean perspective to re-launch Lisboa’s strategy • implement maritime transportation projects and Short Sea Shipping with a Mediterranean Vision • reach a sustainable development and a environmental care of the areas involved
