    1. Informal Commands (tú & vosotros)

    2. We’re only going to learn the “tú” singular commands. “Vosotros” is only used in Spain. If you give a command to you all - you may always use the formal “ustedes” command.

    3. “tú” Affirmative & Negative Commands Have Different Forms!

    4. Affirmative 3rd person singular in present tense = tú command - Ex: hablar – ˇhabla! comer – ˇcome! subir - ˇsube!

    5. Negative Yo form present tense “o” changes to opposite vowel + s Ex: traer - traigo = ˇno traigas! correr – corro = ˇno corras! (watch for –car, -gar, -zar verbs)

    6. For estar, dar, ir, ser, saber….. Use the ud. command + s no estés, no des, no vayas, no seas, no sepas

    7. A ver….Give the Affirmative & Negative Command for the Infinitive Afirmativo Negativo bajar meter subir jugar tocar traer comer

    8. Irregular “Tú” Commands
