  4. Schedule • Practice begins Monday, June 3rd • Monday through Thursday 6:00 to 8:00 • (End time is approximate, parents should be prepared for pick-up by 7:30) • Apple Valley High School 14450 Hayes Road Apple Valley, MN 55124

  5. USATF Meet Schedule • USATF State Meet June 13th through 16th University of St. Thomas REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, June 11th More Information see: http://usatfmn.org/jo-track-field

  6. USATF Age Groups • Competition takes place in five two-year age divisions, with athletes generally falling between the ages of 8 and 18. Ages as of end of year: • 8 and up • 9 and 10 • 11 and 12 • 13 and 14 • 15 and 16 • 17 and 18

  8. AAU State Meet • AAU State Meet June 22nd & 23rd, 2013 Registration Deadline: June 19th Brooklyn Center High School 6500 Humboldt Ave Brooklyn, Center, MN 55430

  9. AAU Age Groups • The athlete’s year of birth determines the competitive division as follows: • Ages 8 & under 2005 & after • Age 9 2004 • Age 10 2003 • Age 11 2002 • Age 12 2001 • Age 13 2000 • Age 14 1999 • Age 15 & 16 1998-1997 • Age 17 & 18 1995-1996

  10. AAU Area 18 National Qualifier • June 27 – June 30, 2013 Williams Stadium Grandview University Des Moines, IA All athletes must have participated in an AAU District Meet within their own region. Entry fee is $25.00 per athlete. Registration deadline is: June 23rd

  11. National Championship Meets • USATF Junior Olympic Track & Field Championship July 22 – July 28, 2013 North Caroline A&T University Greensboro, NC • AAU Junior Olympic Games July 27 – August 3, 2013 Eastern Michigan University Ypsilanti, MN

  12. AAU Membership • All REAL club participants must obtain an AAU membership for liability insurance purposes. • Memberships must be paid prior to participation including practice. Annual membership fee: $16 • To obtain membership go to: http://aauathletics.org Select Sport: Athletics REAL Track and Field Club Code: WWWBYB

  13. USATF Membership • Membership fee is $20 per athlete • Athletes will not be allowed to register for the state USATF meet until age verification is on file in the local association office. • REAL Track & Field Club Code: 30-0431 • To register: http://www.usatfmn.org

Meet Registrations (AAU and USATF) • Meet registrations will be handled as a club. • Athletes are not to register on-line. • Fees and selected events must be provided to Valerie Cooke bobvalcooke@comcast.net prior to meet registration deadline. • To verify an athletes registration, go to: www.coacho.com Scroll down the calendar, select the applicable meet, then select performance list.

  18. Volunteer Opportunity • REAL will be running the concessions for EAA track program: • May 18th and 19th • Volunteers needed Saturday morning and afternoon and Sunday afternoon • Please contact Val Cooke at bobvalcooke@comcast.net
