Veterans Day SAG Ride Sunday, Nov 10, 2013, 7:30 am Start from Beeville, link up with Ride Texas Team and escort them south. 90 miles—16 mph avg The Ride Texas team is a group of 24 cyclists, including wounded Veterans and their supporters, who cycle over 500 miles across Texas to raise money for veterans charities. They start together in Wichita Falls, stay together, and finish together in Corpus Christi on Veterans Day. On Monday the 11th, those of us who can, will help the Ride Texas team ride the final 65 miles to Corpus Christi, over the Harbor Bridge and to the post-ride dinner at Brewster’s Ice House. Make time and make plans to participate in this special event. Ride long and strong and for a good cause. Check out the Wow Cycling page on facebook or at wowcycling.org.   2. The Warriors on Wheels cycling organization raises funds annually through our Ride Texas cycling event. A six day ride covering 510 miles across Texas starting in Wichita Falls and ending in Corpus Christi. This year the recipient of our fundraising is Wish for Our Heroes (W4OH). W4OH focuses on helping our active duty Heroes battle hardships. They assist a broad range of people, and consequently grant a large scope of wishes ranging from basic needs to travel and recreation.
