  3. It’s an entirely different world! *Cursive *Multiplication/Division *Writing Process *Research Report *Homework Every Night

  4. Curious George’sCommitted Community • Respect • Each other • Self • Property • Environment • Children • Teachers

  5. Structured not Strict • Structure and organization are taught • Desk organization • Paper heading • You can help at home • Establish routines (homework time, chores, dinner time, extra activities, bedtime, etc.) • Quiet homework area

Homework… • Structured time and location • 30-45 minutes max • Oversee but allow independence • Planners must be signed nightly • Homework Website – (www.olgweb.org -> classrooms -> third grade -> view hw assignments) • Absent work turned in within 3 days following the absence or considered late • Late Homework Accepted for up to five days late. Zero credit will be given after the five days • Complete Missing Homework Journal Log C’mon homework isn’t all that bad…

  8. Everything Else • Take home folder • Grading system- Power School • Absences • Fieldtrips –safe environment; insurance • Projects – book reports, Native American report, altars • Star Student • Birthdays • Water bottles in class • Medication • Student Info sheet • Room Parents
