  3. Facilitate - Definition fa·cil·i·tate[fuh-sil-i-teyt] –verb (used with object), -tat·ed, -tat·ing. To make easier or less difficult; help forward (an action, a process, etc.): Careful planning facilitates any kind of work. Improvement Facilitator

  4. Who is an Improvement Facilitator (IF)? • A naturally positive, optimistic and intuitive person • A skilled communicator; able to connect with all members of clinic teams • Results-oriented ;able to stay focused on “process” development • Flexiblewhile assisting each team to customize the process that will work for them in the long-term • Enthusiasticand able to foster the desire for change within teams • Able to ensure that teams stay focused during meetings.

  5. Core Practices of an Improvement Facilitator Facilitators: • Stay neutral on the content • Listen actively • Ask questions • Paraphrase continuously • Summarize discussions • Manage the climate
