Description of the barracuda • The great barracuda can grow to six feet. Their long thin bodies have scales that are usually dark brown, green, blue or grey. • Their tails are like scissors but not as sharp as their teeth.
Reproduction of the barracuda • Female barracudas lay their eggs close to shore and protect them. • Once the eggs have hatched the mom swims to open waters. • Young barracudas stay close to shore and as they grow older they swim to open seas.
What barracudas eat The barracuda eats many things because they are scavengers. Scavenger means they eat any thing they find. Sometimes they do attacks on humans because they think were large fish. That’s why you might think there dangerous.

Fun facts • Called tiger of the sea • Kids will attack mom so when the eggs hatch mom goes off and does not care about them • They can go down in water 4,000 feet • They can go 2 miles with out stopping to get their food
