Summary • Rogers Park • 0.4 miles restored • Final Cost $231,580 (includes in-kind contributions) • Primary Contractor Ecological Resource Consultants • Feb 2006 – Jul 2009 • Lower South Boulder Creek • 2 miles restored • Final Cost $206,000 • Primary Contractors Biohabitats, Inc. and Buddy’s Backhoe • Jan 2009 – Oct 2011 • Upper South Boulder Creek • 1.5 miles to be restored • Estimated final cost $251K (includes in-kind contributions) • Primary Contractor TBD • Mar 2012 – Oct 2014 (Tentative)

Lessons Learned • A design/build approach with the project contractor is a very helpful and labor saving methodology • Permitting is a very complex process, especially in Boulder County • Funding these types of projects must be done through grants & matchings • Coordinating volunteer activities such as re-vegetation efforts is a big job.
