ILPAC Mission Statement “To provide leadership, educational opportunities and promote communication, coordination and cooperation among all who participate in local public agency projects.”
ILPAC Strategic Plan The goal of the International Local Public Agency Committee (ILPAC) is to align the committee with the Strategic Plan of the IRWA and to provide our customers with quality leadership, education and communication on LPA matters through the following strategies.
ILPAC Strategic Plan Provide educational and professional development opportunities. • Offer quality educational sessions for the attendees at the Annual IRWA Education Conference. • Work cooperatively with other committees on educational sessions at the annual conference. • Assist in the development and/or maintenance of IRWA course as required. • Promote the continued development of a hot topic/course “When Public Agencies Collide”
ILPAC Strategic Plan Promote Communication and cooperation with the Regions and Chapters • Region Representatives are to inform and mentor the region and chapter members of the ILPAC and IRWA for future committee involvement. • Region Representatives are to communicate to the Chapter LPA Committee or Chapter President information regarding the ILPAC activities. • Promote and encourage articles for “Right of Way Magazine” and continue to provide input through the Editorial Review board.
ILPAC Strategic Plan Provide leadership and promote the IRWA • Promote the IRWA and membership by attendance at the APWA Congress and Expo. • Monitor the “Right of Way Best Practices” seminar put on by the Region Reps. and promote it’s use. • Assist as required with input and maintaining the ILPAC section of the IRWA website. • Present a positive image of the IRWA and perform in a professional and ethical manner.
ILPAC Strategic Plan Utilize IRWA Resources • Maintain a cooperative relationship with the IEC and Region Chairs • Maintain dialogue and relationship with the other committees • Utilize the resources of, and communicate with, the IRWA Headquarters staff. • Promote fiscal responsibility

RESEARCH AND STUDIES • Discussed legal issues on the condemnation initiatives going on across the country. • Promote eminent domain updates annually at the education conference.
OUTREACH • Communication • ILPAC Region Reps continue communications with Chapters regarding ILPAC activities • Recruitment & Networking • The ILPAC hosted the IRWA membership booth at the APWA Congress in San Antonio, TX , September 9-11, 2007
WEB CONTENT • ILPAC Web page activated and current • ILPAC is participating in the IRWA Threaded Discussion Forum
