  1. Level 1 Muon Trigger Status and Commissioning Rob McCroskey University of Arizona for the L1 Muon Group

  2. Cabling • L1muo trigger crates (north, central, south) are ~85% complete • L1muo splitter crates (CFT, north, south) ~30% done - goal to finish by end of shutdown • L1muo centroid crates (2 north, 2 south) - FE cables run, not hooked up • In process of finding/fixing bad cables

  3. Infastructure • All production power supplies installed and tested • Big thanks to Carl Lundberg for taking this project A-Z • Control/monitoring GUI supplied by Manas Maity • All rack prep done - Ed Arko & Co. • Final PORC passed!! • Firmware written for next month of running - Mikhail Baturitskiy

  4. Installed Hardware • All crate managers - cental, north, south, and manager • Trigger cards • CF • Five octants (0-4) CFT+Scint cards (05) • Five octants (0-4) PDT+Scint cards (10) • EFN, EFS • Two octants (0-1) CFT+Scint cards • Hope to add 1-2 more octants of 05 cards by next week • Centroid finding cards (MCEN) • EFN (A-layer) • One manager card • Four centroid cards

  5. Triggers • Can trigger off Aphi, CMSC coincidences in CF and A, B pixel coincidences currently • Trigger is currently simple layer coicidence - no roads • Plan on putting in pixel roads soon • Working on PDT triggers currently - will start with simple ‘deck’ trigger (e.g., 4/4 decks hit in A-layer) • MDT triggers questionable - work on getting MCEN cards running next week and sending centroids to L1muo trigger cards for A-layer north

  7. July 1 • Assuming some short accesses, we plan on installing more scintillator cards (05) in both CF and EF • Hardware is on hand, awaiting testing/debugging • Everything in place for ‘plug and play’ operation • Wire boards (10) will require work - first batch (10/28) have some soldering problems on BGA’s • Improved scint. coincidence logic in both CF and EF
