Level 1 Muon Trigger Status Ken Johns University of Arizona for the L1 Muon Group
L1MU Status • L1MU triggers verified with detector hits • L1MU and L3MU tested • L1MU triggers for 36x36 • A.C scintillator Octant 1 • A.C scintillator Octant 2 • A.C # A.B scintillator Octant 6 • Testing of production power supplies (VICOR) in progress • They work but 3.3V remote sense does not work with programmable load • L1MU data “analyzed” (print dump) using l1muo_analyze • First step towards examine • 1 new Grad student to Fermi in May
L1MU Card Status • But card testing (at AZ) is slow • MTFB cards have numerous shorted pins on their connectors that must be located and removed • Shorted pins also slow MTCxx testing • MCCM may need a production run but BU working hard to use preproduction cards
Shutdown Tasks • Install (hopefully) • 6 central 05 (scintillator) octants • 6 central 10 (wire) octants • 2 north 05 octants • 2 south 05 octants • 1-4 MCEN octants • Update DPM control and L2/L3 message building logic • Complete no-L1CFT logic for above • Install production power supplies and gain final ORC • Complete cabling at detector front-ends • Complete cabling at L1MU trigger crates?
Shutdown Tasks • And lots of software • L1MU examine • L1MU monitoring • COOR-L1MU communication • Power supply control and monitoring
