Criteria for Basin Plan Development • See draft document in your package “Selecting Technical Methods and Assigning Scores” • As discussed at CTS Committee Meeting # 2, there are 5 options for selecting technical methods: 1. Riverine detailed study 2. Coastal detailed study 3. Redelineation 4. Approximate riverine study 5. Use of effective information
Criteria for Basin Plan Development • Selection of technical method based on: • Current zone designation on FIRM • Existing and anticipated development • How flooding experience compares with FIRMs • Adequacy/currency of study methods used to prepare FIRM • See Tables 1 and 2 in document
Criteria for Basin Plan Development • Scoring system to prioritize. Points assigned based on: • Age of effective analysis/FIRMs • Likely mapping impacts • Level of development • Historical Flooding Information • Contiguous mismatches with adjacent communities • Community-identified needs • Community Mitigation Planning • See Table 3 in document
