Facts about the Clavate Tortoise Beetle • It is almost circle but not • It goes throw five stages • Its jelly like shell turns in to a turtle like shell when its big. • It has flatten head. • The back of its head is reddish-brown. • When the larva is born it is 9mm long. • When the larva is born it is orange with a black head. • On its belly it is yellow. • They live in fields or waste lands. • They are in new England to south Carolina • To scare predators the put there legs, arms, head and antennas in there body so the predators will think there a glob of goo. • When the mother lays her eggs she puts them on a leaf and leaves.
