Life and living after surviving cancer becomes challenging. With a mixed bag of emotions and some physical changes, it may not seem to be the same again. However, it is definitely a new beginning to life and you have to start on a new course. It is all about readjusting and accommodating to everything else that is normal to the world, which was normal to you before you were detected with cancer.
It is also about celebrating your battle and survivorship. Cancer treatment centers have reported an increase in the cancer survivability rate, and there are more and more inventive programs coming up in the recent times to help survivors to live healthy lives once they have been cured.

True, you have survived! True, you are cancer free!! But, you are not free from medications and follow-up.
Follow-up may include physical exams, review of medical history, blood work, screenings, and laboratory testing.
Regular Activity Regular activity and exercise is the key to cancer survivorship. You have to make it a routine to exercise often and start with a walk of 30 minutes. Yard work, brisk walking, and dancing can be some of the best ways to boost your immunity and nourish the cells with adequate oxygen and vital nutrients.
Thus, good exercise habits will help you to control your body weight, which would be significant to your health and cancer- free life.
Balanced Diet Combat all carcinogens with foods and correct amount of antioxidants along with essential nutrients. Vegetables, fruits, rice, beans, and whole grains will be able to bolster the immune system and even help in improving all the bodily functions.
Consuming less fattening foods will also help in reducing risks of relapse. Avoiding tobacco and abstaining from alcohol will help the body to repair all damages caused by this fatal disease and course of cancer treatment. Survivors should talk to their oncologists and nutritionist about their diet.
Emotional Condition – The Mind and Body Medical and scientific advancements continue illuminating different links between the body and the mind. These links reveal why survivorship should address a person as a whole, not just concentrating on the body.
Mind-body healing comes from various places. A relaxing vacation, a good movie, practicing yoga, walking and doing your favorite things will heal you from within.
