Course description • This course offers an introduction to a socio-cultural and development view of language learning. • It will focus on the language and literary practices essential for development of students as effective composers and comprehends of vernacular language. • It will help students to develop and enhance Vernacular language learning strategies
Learning outcome • Distinguish the vowels and consonants of vernacular language • Demonstrate proficiency and appreciation of their language and culture • Apply a variety of developmentally-appropriate strategies to promote vernacular language and literacy learning in children • Discuss and apply the foundations of literacy and help learners achieve appropriate outcomes in areas of listening, speaking, shared reading &writing
