Staff of ICAO • ICAO is a specialized agency of the United Nations common system and staff enjoy the benefits, entitlements, privileges and immunities of civil servants. Furthermore, staff have the opportunity to mobility among the UN organizations • UN staff are divided into two categories • Professional (P) staff recruited internationally • General Service (GS) staff recruited locally • As at 31 August 2013, 691 staff members work at ICAO, comprising • 326 Professional staff • 365 General Service staff • Posts in each category are graded in accordance with the increasing level of responsibility expected of the incumbent • P1-P5, D1, D2 – for Professional positions • G1-G7 – for General Service positions
