Current Status of QECs • Currently there are 62 QECs. • including 16 in private sector. • Soon all universities will establish QECs.
OBJECTIVES OF SELF ASSESSMET The objectives of self-assessment are to: • 2.1. Maintain and continuously enhance academic standards + • 2.2. Enhance students’ learning • 2.3. Verify that the existing programs meet their objectives and institutional goals • 2.4. Provide feedback for quality assurance of academic programs • 2.5. Prepare the academic program for review by discipline councils
Self Assessment Manual: • The Self Assessment Manual was prepared by Prof. Dr. Abdul Raouf, National Professor of Higher Education Commission, (HEC), Islamabad and approved by (12) member Quality Assurance Committee of Higher Education Commission, (HEC), Islamabad. Self Assessment Proformae: • The Self Assessment Proformas as designed by 12 member working group of QECs were formally adopted by all QECs in 7th meeting of QECs held on 17.03.2007.

Approval of Self Assessment Manual & Proformae • The Self Assessment Manual & Proformae were approved by Syndicate in its 95th meeting held on 8-3-2008 vide resolution No. [95-Syd.]-4 (i) .
