  2. Origins of NSDL Program • Support dissemination of NSF materials created with NSF grant support • Followed a series of solicitations for a computer-science based program on digital library creation and use.

  3. History of NSDL 2000 • First round of solicitations • Original funding for MathDL • Several projects had competing Core Integration projects

  4. History (cont.) 2001 • One Core Integration project is selected: Cornell, UCAR, Columbia 2003 • Eisenhower National Clearinghouse’s Middle School Portal designated as an example of a Pathway
