This is a short overview of the Slovene Social Science Data Archives (ADP), a national service provider that fulfills the obligations of the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA AS). They have over 500 data sets in their holding and provide online access to analysis and download of data for around 600 users annually.

Development • Established in 1997 as the Centre inside Institute of Social Sciences at Faculty of Social Sciences, UL • ADP joined CESSDA in 1998. • Was part of CESSDA-PPP project. • Since 2012 5 employees: ADP was accepted in a national Research Infrastructures Roadmap 2011–2020 • As of June 2013, the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA AS) is established as a permanent pan-European distributed research infrastructure that will provide full scale, integrated and sustainable data services. R Slovenia joined. • ADP is national service provider fulfilling obligations of CESSDA AS
Current situation • We have more then 500 data sets in our holding • Yearly around 600 users register for on-line access to analysis and download of data. • 90 % students, 5 % researchers, faculty and other. • Active promotion of data use (participate in teaching, guides, users training) • Approx.. 100 depositors - academic and private research centres, individual researchers, commercial companies, governmental institutions.
Recent activities/ Involvement • Presenting papers at several important conferences (national Slovene Sociological Association, Slovene Political Science Association, Statistical days and Applied statistics, international IASSIST, ESRA, ESA and activities organized inside CESSDA community). • Close cooperation with Slovene NSI (DWB project and wider). • Building capacity in digital preservation (one of key CESSDA requirement). • Project is just finishing that is delivering the Proposal for an action plan on Open Access to research data in Slovenia. • Expert advice in Universities'‘Pilot Repository (ODUN). • Partner in SERSCIDA project
