  2. Telechiu, Romania Glimps • 800 (number) of inhabitants – total, Roma, Romanian, Hungarian • No running water - water from the sewage • No electricity • Unpaved roads • Bad housing conditions • Children suffering from rat bites

  3. Data/ AGS direct beneficiaries • 65 Families • 119- 0-6 years old children 45- 0-3 years old 74 - 3-6 years old

Data/AGS • 5 training workshops delivered, to a total of 3 teachers in Telechiu, and 39 in Oradea • 5 trainings for mediators in Telechiu, • 161 home visits • 41 children were enrolled into pre-school • 8 children where enrolled into primary school • 114 Parents Schools • 15 parents (literacy • 8 events • 48 children receiving meals

Community Activities During the AGS Project • Meetings with the local institutions • ISSA trainings for parents and local educators • Parents Schools (Roma & Non-Roma) and volunteering activities • Leassure activities: parents and children (Roma & Non-Roma) • Life skills Programs for parents and children • Informing and counselling activities on socio-educational problems • Career center • Social services

Important Achievements Newly set up kindergarten group taught in Romanian for children Establishedforthefirsttimecreche/ nurseryservicesfor children of 0-3 – underaccreditationprocess Improveddaily rate of attendance (from 16% to 72 %)inkindergarten Schoolreadiness is improved Availableservicesforparents Sustainability, institutionalisation of AGS initiatives(with the support of the local authorities)
