What is a career pathway? • A Career pathway is a series of connected educational and training programs and support services that prepares and enables individuals, often while they are working, to secure a job and advance over time to successively higher levels of education and employment in a specific industry.

  7. Nursing career pathway • State-tested nurse’s aid (certificate of 75-100 hours). • Licensed practical nurse (certificate of at least one year) • Registered nurse (degree of 2-4 years) • Advanced practice nurse (master’s or doctorate degree)
