  2. ILR is a form of settlement that is available to the non – EEA citizens. If you want to apply for ILR (Indefinite Leave to remain), you should spend at least spent 5 years in the United Kingdom but in some circumstances, you can apply just after the 3 years of the residence in the United Kingdom. Different types of immigration visas which can lead to Indefinite leave to remain which includes Spouse Visas – Tier 1 Visas and Tier 2 work visas. Indefinite Leave to Remain helps the person to live in the United Kingdom with no restrictions. The first step towards the Indefinite Leave to Remain UK is full citizenship and naturalization.

Well, there are some of the requirements which must be fulfilled to become eligible for ILR which are as follows:- • One should be living lawfully in the UK for some period of time. • There should be no criminal record and there should be no breach of the immigration laws. • You should be passing in the UK test and it is a test based on the culture of British, traditions, and history. • During the qualifying period, the period which is outside the UK should not exceed 180 days in the twelve months.
