  1. PortNexus Demonstration Site To simplify selling and demonstration of Associate

  2. Step 1 Log in to Server • Make sure that you are NOT on your VPN, log in via wireless network without VPN • Go to the Start menu on computer • Go to Accessories • Go to Remote Desktop Services • Double Click on the icon to open it.

  3. Set up your Remote Desktop 1. Enter the IP address exactly as below: 66.118.177.24:443 2. Select Connect 3. When prompted: For User ID enter: ATTSALES For Password enter: Associate1

  4. Your Very own Demo Desktop

Set up your Mobile device • Download the Associate App for the Demo server onto your mobile device (Torch) by entering this address in the browser • http://66.118.177.24/associateTorch.jad • When downloaded, open Associate and touch the menu button on the Blackberry, • Scroll down until you see server properties, • Check or change the host to 66.118.177.24 • Change Port to 8080 • Your user ID is: 1 then your phone number ex. (12345679810) • Your password is: 123 • Go to bottom select ok

Creating Your Voice ProfileFor Voice Recognition • Go to the below link on your desktop computer and read this script into your Blackberry Associate (in record mode) • http://66.118.177.24/osd/voicetraining.txt • Select the Blackberry menu button and select Send as the option, • Select work type Voice Training   Very important to do this; this work type is used only once. • Now scroll to the bottom and select ok, • Make sure that the file is sent to the server (watch up load progress bar) • If the voice file does not, check your user settings again.

Using Demo SiteEnrolling Your Voice Profile • Now on your desktop computer with login to the Demo site using the RDC, ( see slides 2-4 for help) • Use the Typist icon, For User ID enter it as: AttT For Password : 123 • log in and find your detailed job listing. • Find your file called Voice Training, (insure that you are the Author) • Drag it to the Speech to Text icon and let it go. • Follow the instructions until the window shows enrollment successful. • Call 800-871-0688 or fill out the form at http://www.softwareonsailboats.net/portnexus/ if you have a problem here .

  8. Your Very First Translation • Go to the Associate on your mobile device and create a new recording. • Use any work type other than Voice Training • Never use work type Voice Training again;it will ruin your recognition quality. • Scroll down hit ok to send the file as normal. • Log back into the demo server with RDC and go into Typist again and find the new dictation and drag it into speech to text and it will translate what you said.
