  2. How long have I worked at Sunnymead? • This is my 14th year here- • I taught 6th grade Math for 6 years. • 7th grade Social studies for 3 years • 8th grade for 4 years

Please make sure your student has: • 3 -one subject spiral notebook (one for each trimester), and a portfolio folder- • Different colored highlighters In addition: • tape, glue sticks or a mini sized stapler would be great to keep at home and bring to school when needed. • PS!!! We need donations of these supplies for our interactive notebooks-

  5. Workbooks • What I expect: • I’m super strict about the type of answers students give • An answer should never start with HE, SHE, IT, THEY, BECAUSE... • Giving an academic answer is ¾ of the battle

  6. Projects • Need to show creativity • No pencil projects • Color! • Hard work • Projects should not look like you through them together 10 min before it was due-

  7. Printouts will be given Bi-weekly • You may also check icampus to check your students grades-

  8. SMMS Discipline Ladder • Verbal Warning • Conference with student • Parent Contact • Time out with reflection essay • Referral to counselor/detention#1 • Detention #2 • 8th Referral to administration

Grading • YES, you can REDO class work, projects, quizzes and tests when you receive a grade lower then a C- • YES, I accept late work but there is a cut off date • Class work/Homework is worth 10pts • Quizzes are worth 20-40 pts • Tests are worth100 pts • Projects are worth 100 pts • Journals are worth 5points each
