  4. What do we do in Dyslexia Intervention? • Learn syllable types • Practice decoding words • Practice sounds (phonics) • Fluency practice • Increase vocabulary • Synthesize these skills with reading and writing practice.

  5. Why do we do these things?

  6. Components of the class period include but not limited to: • Choice reading & reading logs • Vocabulary (VJ) • Syllable work – auditory, written, and kinesthetic. • Fluency readings • Benchmarks to measure progress • Writing practice • Self-advocacy practice. 
