Objectives • Compare grain yield of wheat genotypes targeted to irrigated and semi-arid environments in the IWWIP • Examine high yielding wheat genotypes under low and high productive environments for their specific and broad adaptation
Materials and Methods • IWWYT – SA • IWWYT – IR • Comparison of grain yield levels of genotypes in IWWYT-SA and IWWYT-IR evaluated under similar management conditions • Comparison of grain yield levels of genotypes in IWWYT-SA tested under low and high productive environments

Conclusions Grain yield of highest yielding genotypes in IWWYT-IR and IWWYT-SA are comparable under irrigated management Certain genotypes developed for dryland also possess yield potential that could efficiently utilize management practices for irrigated management In general, different sets of genetic materials are needed under strictly semi-arid and irrigated environments A few lines targeted towards stressed conditions in fact possess yield plasticity resulting in their superior performance both under dryland and irrigated conditions
