  2. Essential Questions • What are human rights? • What is the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights? • What are the human rights issues in Arabic-speaking cultures?

  3. Focus • In groups of 4, come up with a definition of “human rights” and give examples. Create a list of words that describe human rights. Be prepared to share you work and to post your poster on the wall!!

Which are missing? • As you have studied the Arabic-speaking countries so far, can you identify any human rights issues?
