(Rev 7:1-4) And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

  4. (Rev 7:5-8) Of the tribe of Judawere sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Aserwere sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Zabulonwere sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

(Rev 7:9-12) After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stoodbefore the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palmsin their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

  13. (Rev 7:13-17) And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in whiterobes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

  14. A. Who are these people?

  15. There is a large confusion as to the true identity of these saints. • Many want to apply these verses to the Church age saints. • This is where they get doctrines to imply that the Church will go through the tribulation. NOTES

  16. (1Th 5:9) For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, (1Th 1:10) And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

  17. (Rev 3:10) Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Comparing the Saints • Revelation 4-5 • White Raiment • Sitting on Seats • Crowns on their heads • Harps and vials in their hands • Singing a new song • Kings and priest that reign with Him • Revelation 7 • White robes • Standing before the throne • No crowns • Palms in their hands • Crying with aloud voice • Severing Him day and night

  19. Many other people believe that these saints are a continuation of the commentary of the 144,000 seen in the 1st 8 verses NOTES

Comparing the Saints • 144,000 • The 144,000 are a precise number. • One Nation (Jews) • Saved the same way that Paul was. • They are sealed • They can not lose their Salvation • Revelation 7 • A countless number • Multiple nations (every people kindred and tongues) • They are save by the ministry of The 144,000 • They are not sealed with any seal. • They can lose their Salvation

This subject is the must controversial subject in the Christian realm . • The question of whether or not a person can lose their salvation! • There is one group that says that you can lose your salvation right here and now. • And the other said that you can never lose your salvation in any dispensation NOTES

  22. Those how quote the Bible to prove that you can lose your salvation will always take you to one of 4 books of the Bible • Matthew • James • Hebrews • Revelation • All of these books will show you a context that deals with the Jew not a Gentile NOTES

  23. (Mat 24:5-9) For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

  24. (Mat 24:10-16) And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

  25. All of these people will seal their destiny with there own Blood! • They will have to give their life in order to keep their salvation NOTES

(Rev 6:9-11) And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

  27. (Rev 12:11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

  28. (Rev 20:4) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

  29. B. What are these people wearing?

  32. (Rev 6:11) And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

  33. (Rev 19:7) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. (Rev 19:8) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

These robes represents the works of the Saints after salvation • The Bible is very clear that we receive his righteousness at the point of Salvation, • But after salvation we make ourselves ready (works) by our own righteousness • This why we will be judged for the works we preform here on this earth good or Bad (NOT OUR SIN) NOTES

  35. (Rev 7:14) And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. WHAT WAS WASHED!

  36. (Rev 1:5) And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (Rev 1:6) And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

  37. All dispensations are saved by grace and through his blood. • But the difference is how that grace and blood is applied. NOTES

  38. C. What is in their hands

  39. There is only 3 places in the Bible that palm branches are used. • In every place they are to symbolize rejoicing and victory. • These are rejoice in the victory they gain over the temptation not to endure (works) NOTES

  41. D. Where are they standing?

  43. This the same description of the throne in Rev. 4-5. • This group of people are around the throne in the front row. NOTES

  45. (Mar 10:35-40) And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire. And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you? They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory. But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized: But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.

  46. E. Whatare they saying?

  47. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
